Re: Oregano Oil!

I’m glad it seems of some interest to you.

I took some late, just before going to bed, and have to say I think it keeps me awake a bit, but then I don’t sleep well anyway. However my breathing through the night was fantastic and I’ve been battling constant asthma for over 18 months now!

Oregano Oil!

About 10 days ago I was trolling through You Tube topics and found one extolling the benefits of Oregano Oil. One of the many claims made for it was that it was good for problems of respiratory nature inc. Asthma .  I bought a small bottle for about $30 from the health food store deciding it was wor...

Re: East Gippsland Fires.

Thinking of you today Dig, hope the rebuild is going well and you are enjoying a few quiet ones. X2 I was thinking of digger & all the other service men & women on the 25th April. It was a very different ANZAC day. Normally I would have been marching with friends, relatives & d...

Re: Final goodbye

Mate so sorry to hear your news!

Its a tough thing to go through but the pain does reduce over time. You will of course never forget what she meant to you and it helps to remember all the good times Larry.

My thoughts are with you my friend. My mum passed in 2016 aged 94.

Re: East Gippsland Fires.

Thanks Pete, we’ll get there but as you say it’s one thing after another. The first and almost as damaging was 3 years of deep drought, then fires, now COVID. The hardest part is no relief valve of trips to Mallacoota, but then we are all feeling these restrictions together. We will come back of cou...

Thinking of you today Dig, hope the rebuild is going well and you are enjoying a few quiet ones. Thanks Eoin, It's a day of sadness and reflection for me and I had a quiet day all told. I thought about relatives and mates that served and are no longer with us now. With this virus ATM all s...

Re: East Gippsland Fires.

When we thin trees out it lets a lot more undergrowth grow and in combination with how dry it is, fires are much hotter than normal and that kills many natives that would normally survive. They have evolved to survive fire, in fact many need it to release seed, just not as hot as this was.

Re: East Gippsland Fires.

Yeah we planted some 8000 trees here years ago as we were producing gumleaf foliage for the forest industry and I guess that most of them have gone.

Going to look good when
it’s cleaned up though!

Re: East Gippsland Fires.

Thanks Eric it was a totally unexpected outcome, but a good one. It drizzled here yesterday morning but during the afternoon we had a massive downpour! With no grass to slow things down we were flooding within minutes, waterfalls from the higher level everywhere. There was so much soil in the water ...

It was something of an awakening for me actually. OTH I’m going in to pay for my new tractor and implements today, over $30k....ouch! Insuranc...
