sorry cant make it. Had to go to CH Marine in Collingwood to pick up my new toy (FF), and intended jumping a tram from there. Could not for the life of me find a long enough parking spot to leave the car, so had to give up.

That just for storing rods, as there is no side angling for trawling? If you where to put some cut outs on the front would it help getting rods in and out as well as holding reel still? One piece of advice, look after that Yak and keep it as sparkly new as possible as one of two things are likely to happen. Either you will get the bug bad and soon start saving your bucks for a $1000+ yak especially if you want to do bay fishing, or you will give it up. Either way you are likely to ...

What time do you recommend to go out at Altona beach to catch a feed? As soon as you can and whenever you can. Stay away from windy and choppy days until you work out what feels safe in that Yak, dont try and match the guys in the bigger Yaks. Millers rd is easily accessible high and low tide. Keep...

If they are still coming with the screw top hatches you can add a handle if you like to make them easier to open and close tightly
