Be interesting to see how they rig that seal.

Like any other soft plastic? I wonder if they used fluorocarbon or wire.

I've watched that strike several times and each one still gives me the shivers down the spine!
I've dived in areas where we later learned that these white ghosts were around.
I am now a lot old and very much more circumspect of my whereabouts.
Although seals have alway been a big no no for me!
That is still one great shot of a massive 'hit'.

Some folks have viewed this footage and said that I am crazy to go anywhere near the water in a yak.
They can't see the difference between a 'seal' type lure trolled across the surface as a enticer and a Hobie Outback!
I can. I hope the noahs do?
From below an Outback looks nothing like a seal, penguin, fish, food...............
Ah, hang on there, the Hobie drive is a bit like a ?
What did the designers say they got the idea from?
Oh yeah. A penguins wings flapping in the water!
Ah, bugger it. The Bass Strait and PPB are full of bait and other tasty treats, why would they bother with a bit of plastic?

I think they like the east coast plastic and fiberglass, it's got a hole (pun intended) different taste, that similar to S.A stuff

At the end of the day the number of deaths of kayakers being killed by sharks is practically nil.. That said it gets the adrenelin running when a shark fin cruises by...you feel totally vulnerable

Yep. I agree with that.
I had been a spearo for more than 6 years before I saw my first shark.
It cruised by, over the top of me, no more than a metre away!!!!!!
It wasn't till I gathered myself and focused on the tail that I realised that it was only a thresher shark. Phew.
The next one was only a few months later at Aires Inlet.
This one was only a 3m mako. It kept circling myself and a couple of other divers. I decided to head back to shore.
The other two guys stayed out, but didn't get any more fish.
Apparently ppb is teaming with all sorts of noahs, as the bay is chocka full of a smorgasbord of food for them.
I guess that is a good thing, as food for them isn't plasticy things.

There is a lot of BS published with that photo included. I believe this to be the genuine story:spider25160 wrote: Just check my profile Pic.....No dramas
