AR Lures - new to Australia.

Post by maverick »

Good mate Colin at MLTE (My Little Tackle Emporium) sent me some of his newly imported lures to have a play with. They are hand carved out of Basswood and look incredible. The finish is beautiful and the photos don't do them justice.

The range is mainly orientated towards the US Bass scene but many of the styles will work very well on Bream and the likes. I think there are a few of the lures on the way to the Hobie World Comps in Texas next month with a few of the Aussie yak lads.

I have a couple of the smaller 65mm in the green colour to test on Salmon (just waiting on a few other colours to arrive ;) ;) )

The 2 larger lures are 110mm ( the silver and perch pattern). Although they are shallow divers I should be able to rig them to dive deep enough to entice a Snapper or two. They are very similar colours to the succesful Rapala Tail Dancers that do well. This size lure has had some success on the Barramundi in the N.T. recently.

Seems a pity to send them into a fishes mouth, they should be hanging on a wall.

Bring on some reasonable weather soon (please)........

Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Some really nice rainbow trout patterns as well, just waiting for an Eildon trip.
