I can't believe how quickly such a simple straight forward question has been converted into some thing else.
I do have to ask though, does size really matter or is it all about the colour?

I also am shocked and disgusted with how people can so quickly degrade the conversation to something completely irrelevant  having said that

that was my favourite pick up line in the 90s
People laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same.

Gangrene can be nasty now can't it?

I can imagine the comments..." Geez you don't see many that green now do you?". "No especially not that green and so small!"

I use red beads for whiting etc in the shallows. Red turns to grey once you get too deep so probably doesn't make much difference after that.

Green lumo beads on all night/low light/deep water fishing where I believe they help to make your rig more visible and protect knots from the sinker. You can get some really big lumo beads for beach fishing these days - great for gummies.

As for the other beads being spruiked on here, I hear you need to use plenty of s-factor..

Cheers

I've used them on and off with no discernible difference though I did see one of the professional fisherman sitting with a few others and a bunch of kids fishing off the pier at Bermaguie who thought they were essential!

Apparently he got bitten off and lost his last red bead and almost freaked out!

From some distance away all i could hear was "Oh no! I've lost my effing last red bead" Oh no! I've.......well you know the rest.

I couldn't stand it any longer and sauntered up and said "Here yar Cobber have a few of mine".

At least I got to fish in peace after that!
