I heard the body of a kayaker was fished out of the water at Williamstown, anyone know what happened?

Apparently pulled out of the water by the fire brigade, wearing a PFD and helmet, probably/possibly not a fisherman.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Very sad indeed.
Not on Vicpol yet.
Apparently he was off Jawbone Sanctuary.
But why got out today?
Predicated vs actual winds don't really point toward a pleasant paddle. Obviously.

I spoke to the crew who pulled him out. Wetsuit pfd helmet. Most likely windsurfer or kite surfer. Some confusion whether Cops on scene mentioned either a kayak found in South Melb or a person missing from South Melb.

Kid walking along the bike track found him. Don't know whether he had been reported missing or not.
