Oooopppps, nearly

Post by erik the viking »

Here is a good clip of some young fishos having a go after that elusive greenback.
I'm always aware of the old Joe Blake when on or near the water.
I've had a few close calls over the many years I've been an active outdoors person.
I carry a snake bite bandage and a lucky rabbits foot (nah, just joking) if the terrain suggests it might be handy.
You hear lots of tubers commenting on the snakey terrain, for a good reason.
But you seldom see any of them bat an eyelid and they just press on.
But, ............what if you record every footstep and you see this after reviewing the clip?
Give up or take noisier steps? :o :yahoo:

FF to 2:20 for the slippery stick. (left of screen)
They are there. Just make them slide away before you get there hey? Easy peasy.
The one slithering over the top of the water heading to your 'safe resting log' is the one I always keep an eye on!
Enjoy.

I’m not convinced it’s a snake. Looks a bit like one but he was stomping pretty hard and it wasn’t going anywhere. Always a source of entertainment when someone your with has a close encounter.

Had a few close calls with the cameras off but usually its just a tail dissapearing into the grass. I agree with Galey here doesn't look or behave like a snake to me
