In my teen years I was in the cape surf lifesaving club, and heard many stories of a large shark breeding area a few Ks off shore.
Plus that's right in a weather corridor, from Phillip island, weather tracks down to the prom quite regularly.
Of course it would be possible on the right day with alot of conditioning and gear, but id love to see u have a boat along side incase the sh!t hits the fan.
