Spent some time changing a few hooks on the Snapper lures, leaving some with trebles and some with singles, just as a comparison. Hope to get some u/w video on the lures in action, including some head2head action of identical lures. But - who has been catching Snapper on what hard bodies?
Here are some of mine, the smaller lures for the shallower reef on lighter gear and the bigger versions with a couple of roughies thrown in.
Bring on the higher water temp.

My favourite is stuck on reef near the mussel farm. I think it was an Anaconda special, which I won at a VYAK comp.......blue coloured minnow with 3 sets of trebles, only got down to about 6m, but was great overthe shallow reefs. Haven't been able to replace itDognut wrote:Whats your favorite Pete?
The Tail Dancer in Perch has caugh some great fish, but not on my rod. I think the one in the pic is a loan one from Yacker after I watched him catch nice 4kgger model on one and I got mine bogged on another reef, so he lent me a spare one.
Big G caught a PB (5 kg?) on the same version.
I did see a post by some one recently who caught a top fish on the silver coloured version.
This season is my season to focus on HB's.
Well past the edge, almost at the point of no return.

Re: Snapper Lures - show me your favourite!
This year is my first attempt at trolling for snapper but here is some of my selection.
Some of my larger lures:
I'm very keen to try the stump jumper next trip out as I like the look of it, gunna change the trebles though as I think they are a bit big.
A couple of smaller versions, these are only 50mm lures but dive 8+m (might be just what's needed when they arent really on the chew). I reckon they'll get smashed up to buggery if I hook up and will probably only end up with a half a bib when I pull it in but I'm willing to take the gamble .

I couldnt think of anything witty or funny to say and didnt really want to post my PB fish from the yak cause all I manage to get are toadies so I thought I'd take the time to fill in the blank space and say pretty much absolutely nothing and annoy every-one who has taken the time to read this.

still to nail a big red on a lure so that's a hopeful goal this season but all of these(or their original) have caught fish around the 50-60 mark
