An exciting video camera option.

Still in the testing stage and hopefully coming very soon to a HD display near you:

Drone cameras have been getting incredibly cheap now on the Internet!
Their only issue is someone has to fly it to film.
What id like to is one that has a follow me feature, you set the height of the drone and it just follows you around filming.

Would be cool if you could some how do a live feed. The gopro app may work. Would work well for chasing tuna.

A few of them have a screen on the controller.

The cool thing is kayakers are so far ahead of boaters when it comes to this kind of stuff.
You just don't see this kind of stuff on boating sites.
Well done.

Balony, boaters have been using drones for filming fishing etc, certainly not new and I would think better suited to a boat. One, there are more people able to fit on a boat, and therefore have someone to operate while others fish. Second, a larger deck to safely land, would not want it to land in water and lose site of it;

In saying that, good on Mav for having a go. It does look good and give great angles of friends fishing while he films/fly's will be great to watch. Will be even more interesting to see him land a fish while filming/flying though ;) .

Lots of issues to work through and I hope we can. But gee the thing is stable. The video shown was taken in gusting 15 -20 knot winds and it was the 3rd time my mate had flown it.

Take you fingers off the controls and it just hovers, use the iphone to move the camera, take stills or turn the video on or off.
