Hi guys,
Because I enjoy the water and fishing and since I started to work funny hours/days (tram driver and the shifts are crazy - any day of the week, anytime since 3:30 AM to 2 AM next day) and because of that I cannot be available to go fishing with my mates, I decided to buy a kayak.
After I read a lot on this forum I was convinced I what I need is a Hobie Outback. That until I saw some youtube videos about Native. And now I have a huge dilemma: which one? Can you help me here?
I mention that I am looking to go in lakes and estuaries and MAYBE in very weather friendly days in PPB. And I thinking to transport my yak on top of my Ford Focus.
Thank you all for the effort you put here helping guys like me...
Looking for my first yak

Re: Looking for my first yak
Try them both if you can as it maybe a case of whether you prefer mirage drive vs native propel system. Outback is the most common, the new model being a significant upgrade on the old.
Don't fool yourself once you have a yak you will go on the bays, both yaks are capable of this. Both Ok for roof topping.

My backyard is now paved in yaks.. It all started with a little yellow one, then they started breeding, and I'm still day dreaming.. about glass.. and about sailschoppers wrote:cheaterparts wrote:Yes it's a very slippery slide Kayak fishing is like any other drug , once you start you just can't go backlaneends wrote:

I've got the new outback and love it.
No ability to go backwards (unless you get the paddle out) but I'm not planning on fishing anywhere that requires me to back up.
Like many things it's very addictive... you'll be out fishing thinking, just one more fish then I'll go in.. your 7am launch will have you landing at 3pm before you know it
