I don't doubt that at all, hopefully he'll stay well away from us though, then we won't have to worry at all.FishnDive wrote:If Minny's mate rocks up I'm sure everyone will cosy up a bit on the waterNello wrote:I think I might hang close to you at Port Augusta and take take advantage of your shark shield eoin I wonder what the range is on them..?

Re: Shark Shields
Hmmm a bait ball of kayakers, but who has the yum yum yellow kayak?? I hear Mitch fanning has ditched his surfboards with yellow underneath. Seriously thinking of purchasing a shark shield myself as often fishing waters alone that are frequented by whites.
It's more fun doing it on a yak and even more fun with a sail

Are kayakers allowed to carry shock sticks?
I suppose you'd need a firearm license
This video doesn't look very reassuring. The fish is static & the diver is static under it & looks a bit freaked out

Re: Shark Shields
Any body see the Living Room tonight? Bondi Vet guy did a shark dive in Fiji with bulls and tigers no cage, they were just given a stick to poke them with if they got too close. Great footage but would have needed a spare pair of jocks.

That's the Shark Shield Youtube channel. You wouldn't expect them to tell you something like this, which might make people think twice before paying big dollars for peace of mind.Yako wrote: This video doesn't look very reassuring.
