Where we launched last time (tyrone) it was a 1.5k paddled across the channel, On the other side of the channel the depth was about 2 - 3m I think. I dived in the channel on scuba and it was down to about 11m iwhen I found the scallops - but we didn't look in the shallows. We were following ELM's advice and his suggestions as to where the scallops were, he also suggested snorkelling on the shallow side. Plenty of flatties out there for those that don't dive or snorkel.
