The Ocean Kayak Prowler series has had my eye for quite some time now, In particular the 4.7 model.
After the decision was made to go with the 4.7 I got a list together of all the accessories I would need to have it 'pimped out' how I wanted and costed it up.
Time to contact the supplier, BLA.
My first hurdle would be the colour of the kayak. It seemed it was only available in the red/black, which I wasn't a fan of. I message them about the colour options (hoping there were some options), shipping, ect.
While I was waiting for their response my excitement about the upcoming upgrade was starting to water down some and I started to worry I might not be making the best decision.
I remembered all the time I've seen (and fished with) blokes on Hobies and had secretly been a tad... well jealous.
So while I was waiting for BLA to get back to me I started looking at Hobies. Not because I wanted to cross to the dark side, I just figured it couldn't hurt.
So, cough~um, long story short...
I've put a deposit down on a 2015 Adventure Island.
I pick it up in about five weeks.
Upgrade confirmed~

Screw cookies, our dark side has peddles (and a sail)
Live long, fish hard and hopefully catch something.

Just the pedals are awesome, can't tell you how many times I'm catching by trawling when everyone else is sitting around trying to trawl and paddle....

Awesome . I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I lived closer to the sea then I'd have one of these things.
