This year my number one plastic for the Snapper in PPB was the range from D.O.A.
I did very well in particular on the 4'' Jerkbait PINK ICE and also the 3 1/2'' Curl tail.
A number of the models come in a glow finish and i did give these to other yakkers fishing Ricketts that had great success on them aswell!
Here is just a couple of this seasons fish caught on the D.O.A. 4'' Jerkbaits.

Re: Snapper and Flathead soft plastics ?
Have you guys tried a 4" minnow in the new penny color for the snapper
Minnow grubs and minnows in the pumpkin seed plus the good old turtle back worm are my main SP's
Works quite well for the flatties and the pinks down around Corio
I'm yet to get a red from my yak but it won't be long I hope.

Edit: Swype going on a autocorrect fit

My first sp/flattie catch was on a pumpkin seed minnow (Berkley).
I havent had much lure experience so cant compare, but on a quiet day that lure got more hits than anything else.

Zman Scented Jerk ShadZ 5" in the Shiner colour has been the standout lure for me. They are better value than Gulps as these are almost indestructible. I have caught up to 15-20 pinkies on the one plastic and it still did not show any sign of damage. They also have a very natural smelling scent, almost smells like tuna pellet burley.

Been having some success with snapper on gulp alive 5" crazy legs jerk shads, curry chicken. Rigged on a 5/0 hook in 1/8 ounce.
These are a pretty fragile lure and dont stand up to much abuse. Bit overpriced too IMHO, so wont buy them unless they are under $20 for the tub.

I'm a newbie to the Forum & want to use lures, so I appreciate all the information you yakkas are putting up. Tight lines
I have used the pumpkin seed pattern on Red fin at Like Lonsdale near Stawell & they worked a treat. Not with a Yak though, off the shore. This was the first time I had used plastics
